LA NUBE

Pavilion

Mexico City, Mexico

2024

La Nube is conceived as a pavilion constructed in a public urban plaza in downtown Mexico City. It is constructed using a cotton candy machine that continuously evaporates sugar and gathers into transparent webs hanging from the surrounding buildings..

While the cloud of sugar levitates above the plaza it generates a space in which the cloud acts as a refuge; a performative element in its construction, an edible pavilion. The cloud evokes a childhood dream come true.
