ÑÚ

Gallery

Mexico City, Mexico

2023

Since 2017, ÑÚ has promoted contemporary art through multidisciplinary and itinerant projects, aiming to delve deeply into each artistic proposal within specific spaces. Starting in October 2023, ÑÚ opened its first permanent space, where it presents multidisciplinary proposals by both established and emerging contemporary artists.

What was once a rooftop and a laundry patio has been transformed into an exhibition space that floats among treetops. Pivoting windows 5 meters high allow direct connection with the forest, bringing in its scent, breeze, and sounds. These elements accompany the artwork, which dynamically changes its arrangement through movable walls that enable the large exhibition cube to be reconfigured. The mechanisms are visible, showcasing large rails, pulleys, and trolleys. These not only allow the space to be reconfigured but also conceal a storage area where eight steel and mesh frames enable efficient artwork storage.

A private space in the suburbs of Mexico City has turned into a pursuit of a public program, opening its doors to curious spectators and collectors, expanding the cultural and contemporary art offerings in Lomas de Chapultepec.
