Located in the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca, neighboring Casa Wabi and surrounded by prestigious architecture by Tadao Ando, Kengo Kuma, TAX, Alvaro Siza, Ambrosi Echegaray, and Aranza de Ariño, VERTEBRAL collaborated with TAX to generate two new typologies that become the latest addition to the existing residential complex of Punta Pájaros.

 

The brick towers host two bedrooms that overlook the capricious landscape and finally reach long views towards the sea. Adjacent to the main tower a light wood and steel structure floats the social area above the landscape, captivating the user into a wild atmosphere. The juxtaposition of containment and openness becomes an opportunity to explore architecture on its most primitive and essential condition.
