For the fourth time, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale will award the Debut Prize to an architect or architectural firm to celebrate their achievements and encourage their professional career. For this edition, 95 projects from 38 countries applied, including Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the USA, Chile, France, Switzerland and more. Among all the participants, Vertebral, led by Elías Kalach and Teddy Nanes, has been selected among the ten finalists, representing Mexico.

The jury of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale is formed by Cristina Veríssimo (Portugal), Diogo Burnay (Portugal), N'Goné Fall (Senegal), Yael Reisner (Israel) and Zhang Ke (China). The announcement of the winners will be made during the Début Prize conference during the opening days of September 29 to October 1, 2022.


CHANGE ART is a project competition open to all types of professions with an emphasis on design (architecture, civil engineering, industrial design, interior design, graphic design, plastic art and other related professions).


Elías Kalach and Teddy Nanes, have been invited to be part of the jury of CHANGE ART, an international PROJECT competition whose purpose is to obtain different architectural proposals, focused on the enrichment of art and culture in the department of Santander, and specifically in the city of Bucaramanga. Disruptive, daring results are sought, that break the mold, that propose new concepts and new trends, that help to promote art, culture and the economy of the sector.


The awards ceremony will take place on September 1st, 2022.
