Vertebral has been selected as a candidate for the Dezeen Awards Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year 2022 among the 5,400 participants from more than 90 countries around the world. This year marks the fifth edition of the awards, which pay tribute to the best international architecture, interior design and design, as well as to the studios and individuals who produce the most outstanding works.
For the fourth time, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale will award the Debut Prize to an architect or architectural firm to celebrate their achievements and encourage their professional career. For this edition, 95 projects from 38 countries applied, including Portugal, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the USA, Chile, France, Switzerland and more. Among all the participants, Vertebral, led by Elías Kalach and Teddy Nanes, has been selected among the ten finalists, representing Mexico.
The jury of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale is formed by Cristina Veríssimo (Portugal), Diogo Burnay (Portugal), N'Goné Fall (Senegal), Yael Reisner (Israel) and Zhang Ke (China). The announcement of the winners will be made during the Début Prize conference during the opening days of September 29 to October 1, 2022.
On April 28th, 2022, Vertebral was invited to the second edition of Diálogo Abierto by the Alumni Society of the School of Architecture, Art and Design of the Tec de Monterrey University Campus Puebla.
